Statistics for access devices are typically taken from one site and published or through a web analytics vendor, so consider the sample size and type of visitor carefully. For example, the W3 Schools compilations are excellent, but the site is used by web designers primarily.

A more represeantative sample is available when the web analytics companies publish their user statistics - StatCounter is a relatively small company, but worthwhile reviewing their compilation of browser and search stats by country through time.
